Physical Therapist
Full-time or Part-time
Hammer Rehab & Fitness LTD is now hiring a full-time or part-time physical therapist to join our growing team in Big Bend Wisconsin.
The physical therapist will have a nice mix of general outpatient orthopedic/neurology patients and the potential for on-site job site analysis at local companies.
Full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
Kathryn L. Hammer PT, CI, CEAS, MDN Cert opened Hammer Rehab & Fitness LTD to provide specialized physical and occupational therapy treatment to patients with various injuries/ illnesses.
Hammer Rehab & Fitness is a rehabilitation center and workout facility with fitness classes and also offers dry needling.
Qualifications:- Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent.
- Licensed or eligible for licensing in the state of Wisconsin.
- Has a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed physical therapist preferred.
- Membership in professional physical therapy organization preferred. *New graduates will be considered.
- Industrial Rehab experience is preferred.
- Willingness to be an entrepreneur, participates in marketing, and assists with administrative, building upkeep tasks.
- Willingness to learn and perform WorkSTEPS post offer testing and its legal parameters.
- CEAS certification a plus.
- Interest in delivery of excellent patient care using state of the art equipment for many varieties of clients/patients.
- Interest in expanding the company in the current medical climate.
Administer treatment procedures and rehabilitation activities for the purpose of relieving pain and developing or restoring functions to achieve maximal functional performance, which is designed to accomplish treatment goals. (This includes instructing patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and other assistive devices such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.)
Maintain a current knowledge of physical therapy by participation in formal education programs, workshops, and professional organizations.

- Industrial Rehab experience is preferred to Assist with worker testing
- Willingness to learn and perform post offer testing and its legal parameters
- No experience is required; new grads are welcome to apply
In addition, we look for students each year for internships, observations and volunteers as well as Rehab therapy aides.
Often these opportunities turn into working positions as student progress in their education. Most of these students are in Pre-Physical Therapy and Pre-Occupational Therapy programs and are getting their major in Exercise Science.
These students have a significant role in our fitness program by offering expertise for Boot Camps, Group Exercise Classes and Exercise Prescriptions. Hammer Rehab & Fitness is a great place for students to learn and mature throughout their training.
